I want to introduce an old-fashioned album like taking old clothes out of the closet. The band Blink182 was formed in 1992 in California. In 2001, the album "Take Off Your Pants and Jacket" was a commercial success. The "Take Off Your Pants and Jacket" album concept represents a complex feeling of adolescence.

The title of the album was conceived by Larry Palm, a guitar technician. When Palm, who enjoyed snowboarding, would return home after snowboarding, his mother said that the words,"Take Off Your Pants and Jacket." The group founding member, Tom DeLonge, paid $ 500 for the idea. However, Palm sued for more money in 2003 when the album succeeded. Eventually, they reached an agreement to pay $10,000. This was a bad start for the album's cover icons, but in the end, the three icons represent the symbolic meaning of the group members. The pants and jacket parts of the icon tell of the the lead vocalist, the bassist Mark Hoppus and the guitarist Tom DeLonge. Also, the airplane icon represents Travis Barker, but in 2008, unfortunately he experienced an airplane accident.

앨범의 타이틀이 탄생된것은 기타 테크닉션인 레리 팜이 생각해낸 아이디였다. 스노우 보드를 즐기던 팸이 집에 돌아 오면 그의 어머니는 향상하는 말이 "Take off your pants and jacket(바지와 자켓을 벗어)" 라고 했다고 한다. 그룹의 창단맴버인 톰 델론지가 500불을 지불하고 아이디어를 사게된다. 하지만, 팸은 위의 앨범이 성공을 하자 2003년도에 더 많은 돈을 요구를 하게되어 고소를 하게 된다. 결국 10,000불의 돈을 지불하고 합의를 본 사건으로 남겨져 있었다. 이렇게 앨범의 카버의 아이콘이 탄생된 역사에 대해서 안좋은 일도 있었지만, 결국 세가지의 아이콘은 그룹 맴버의 상징적 의미를 나타낸다. 아이콘의 바지와 자켓은 리드 보컬, 베이스를 맡고있는 마크 호프스 와 기타를 연주하는 톰 텔론지을 말해주고 있었다. 그리고 비행기 아이콘은 트레버스 바크을 말해주었는데, 2008년도에 불행하게도 그는 비행기사고를 경험하게 된다.

The sound of the rhythm guitar is attractive. It starts with a calm rhythm, and as if to break the silence, a punk rock sound comes out. We get to touch their music with a feeling. The words of the lyrics that contained their straight-forward stories were resonating
