한국식당을 우리 조카님과 방문했다. 그곳에서 우리 방탄소년단의 노래가 흘러나왔다. 순간 그 가게를 운영하시는 주인장 아주머니께 인사말을 전했다.

I visited a Korean restaurant with my nephew. That's where our BTS song came out.

At the moment, I greeted the owner of the store.

몇 개월 전에만 해도 방탄소년단 덕후라는 단어는 부끄러움의 말이었다. 그래서 감히 세상에 내가 알고 있는 지인들 앞에 내뱉지도 못했다. 단 하소연을 할 대상은 방탄소년단 방어력 100을 지니고 계신 우리 남편님 뿐이었고, 늘 무시로 일관하셨다. 하지만 세상에 내가 방탄소년단을 사랑한다고 말을 당당하게 할 수 있었던 것도 치과에서 만났던 그분을 통해서 가 아녔던가 하고 생각해본다. I used to share my thoughts about BTS with only my husband, but he 100 percent blocked out BTS and always ignored me. Now I also think that I am able to confidently tell the world that I love BTS, because of the person I met at the dentist's office.

한국 식료품 가게를 갔다. 계산대로 가는데 어머나.. 이거 웬 노래야? 우리 방탄소년단 노래잖아. 소리를 질렀다. 하하하 옆에 있던 외국인 아저씨는 날 정말 미친 여자로 보는 듯 이상하게 봤다. ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ 그래서 한마디 했다.

I went to a Korean grocery store. I was about to go to the checkout line. Oh, my! What is this song?

It's BTS' song. I screamed. The foreign man next to me looked at me strangely as if I were a really crazy woman.

So I told him.

아.. 방탄소년단 너무 좋아요.

Oh, I love BTS.

그분이 지켜보시더니 한마디 하신다.

아 방탄소년단 팬이시군요. 그 마음은 이해합니다.

이해한다는 그 말을 들었을 때 기분이 좀 묘하고 좋았다. 내가 팬 입장에서 누군가를 좋아한다는 사실을 이해받는다는 것이 이렇게 기분이 좋을 줄은 몰랐었다. 이런 상황을 지켜보던 우리 막내아들의 한마디에 빵 터지고 말았다. I felt a little strange and good when I heard that people understood me. I didn't know it would feel so good to be understood that I like someone as a fan.

Watching the situation, my youngest son's words blew my mind.

엄마 입 닫아.

ㅎㅎㅎ 우리 아들은 농담을 잘한다. 이런 아들이 있어 행복하고 좋다.

하하하 네네.. 아신다고요. 바로 우리의 지존급 외모의 소유자 방탄소년단의 비주얼 담당 일본어 유창, 이번 영국 공연장에서도 영어를 유창하게 구사했다. 멋졌다. 뷔(김태형)는 늘 배우는 자세다. 틈만 나면 영어 공부를 하는 모습을 동영상으로 보게 되었는데 언어인지 능력이 남 다르다. 솔로곡도 이번에 발표하신다니 대단할 뿐이다. 그 외모에 그 능력의 빛의 끝이 어딘지 알고 싶은 4차원의 왕자님이시다. 그래서 뷔가 좋다. 뷔는 가끔가다 뻥 터지는 말을 한다. 그들의 첫 앨범에서도 멤버들이 3년 전에 무엇을 했느냐는 질문에 대한 대답도 재미있었다. 뷔는 예전에 색소폰을 배웠다고 한다. 방탄의 멤버들은 왜 그만두었냐고 하자, 입이 아파서 그만뒀다는 그 말 아무나 못하지 암... 아무나. 하하하 역시 우리 4차원 왕자님의 발언이셨다. 그래서 뷔다. 뷔는 감성적이다. 뷔는 지민과 친하다. 뷔는 지민과 동갑내기다. 뷔는 올해 황금돼지띠의 주인공이다. 지난 4월 뷔는 한국음반저작권협회에 자작곡 '풍경'을 등재하면서 실력을 인정 받은 싱어송 라이터이다. 뷔는 매력이 넘친다. 외국인들 시선 강타를 받았던 엘렌쇼의 등장을 통해서 그의 존재감 더 확실해졌다. 이젠 뷔를 비공식적 리드라고 칭하고 싶다. 그는 그럴만한 자격이 충분하다. Hahaha yes... You know that. Our real good looking handsome face, BTS' member. He can speak really well in Japanese. He briefly spoke English at the Wimbledon Stadium concert. That was cool to hear it. V(Kim Tae Hyung) is always learning, whenever he has a chance. I watched a Youtube video clip of him studying English. He has a talent for language. There is nothing he cannot do. I like that he is a multi-talented guy. His solo abum is coming out soon. He used to play the saxophone but he does not anymore. BTS members ask him why he stopped playing. He replied with a funny answer, "Because my mouth hurt." Haha. That's him. Who can say it this way? We call him the 4D prince. His solo songs are very emotional. He is good friends with Jimin. He was born in the golden pig year. He is a singer/songwriter who was recognized for his skills in this April's song, "The Landscape" with copyright in the Korean music industry. V is full of fascinating facts about him. His presence became more evident with the arrival on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", which was seen by foreigners.

Now I would like to call V the unofficial leader. He is well qualified to do so.

타타는 말이지 4차원 즉 외계인이야 하하하 외계에서 온 왕자란 뜻이지. 그리고 그룹의 리드가 된다고.ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

TATA is living in outer space like an alien. Haha He is a prince from outer space. Then he became the leader of the group. haha

뷔님은 현실상의 리드는 아니어도 마스코트 세상에선 리드였다. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 아... 대단하신 뷔님. 앞으로 나올 솔로곡이 기대된다. 그리고 그가 만들어낸 신조어 "I PURPLE YOU" 가 있다. (보라색은 무지개의 마지막 색으로 영원을 상징하며 아미를 신뢰하고 영원히 사랑한다는 의미가 담겨 있다.) V may not be a real leader, but he was a leader in the world of the mascots. Ah... He is amazing. I'm looking forward to a solo song that will be released. There is a new word V created, "I PURPLE YOU". (Violet is the last color of the rainbow. The rainbow symbolizes eternity and means trusting and loving ARMY forever.)
