하하하. 이런 글을 보게 되면 재미삼아 이렇게 블로그에 올리고 싶은 충동이 드는건 뭘까. 오늘은 그린데이의 트라아 즉 세번째 앨범의 말랑하고 달콤한 그런 목소리를 듣고 싶다면 들려드리고 싶은 곡이 바로 잔인한 사랑이라는 곡이다.
가사내용을 살펴보면, 사랑을하고 싶어도 서로에게 사랑의 상처만 남겨져 있어 잔인한 사랑으로 연결되는 남녀관계의 묘한 감정을 빌리조의 달콤한 목소리로 전달해주고 있다.
올해들어서 40세가 되는 드러머 트레아를 위해서 준비했던 앨범 카버를 보면, 맴버 구성원을 사랑이 담겨져 있고 그들만의 색깔로 그린데이라는 밴드를 이미지 메이킹을 해준다고 해도 과언이 아닌 그런 앨범이다. 필자가 본 그린데이의 맴버중에서 가장 외모가 출중한 분이 바로 트레아 쿨이 아닌가한다. 트레아의 이름을 따와서 지은것 처럼 마치 그럴 위한 앨범의 카버가 낯설지가 않다.
위의 곡은 팝록적인 성향이 강하는 곡이다. 달콤한 빌리조의 음성을 들으면 한 밤의 달콤한 추억과도 같은 그런 사랑이 당신 가슴에 들며들어가고 있는지도 모른다.
그린데이의 달콤하고 쓸쓸한 정적을 가져다 주는 사랑이 만들어낸 또 다른 앨범 트레아를 소개한다. 서정적이고 감성이 풍부한 당신이라면 그냥 들어도 좋을 곡이 아닌가한다. 부담없이 들어도 좋고 가사말을 몰라도 그냥 빌리조의 음성으로만으로도 충분히 느낌이 전달된다,
