남편과 함께 하는 많은 생일날이 제가 그 옆에 있어 주어서 정말 다행이라 생각합니다. 인연이라는 하나님의 선물로 우리가 국제결혼으로 이어져 만나서 결혼까지 하는 데 걸리는 시간을 많이 걸리지 않았지만, 서로를 이해하는 데 걸리는 시간이 더 많았던 것 같습니다. 국제결혼의 장단점이 있겠지만, 가장 힘든 점이라면 서로의 살아온 국제적 환경과 배경이 달라서 이해하는 데 걸리는 시간을 많이 소요했던 것 같습니다.
I feel so blessed to have been by my husband's side for so many birthdays. Our journey from meeting to marriage felt like a gift from God, but it took time to truly understand one another. While international marriage has its joys, the greatest challenge was our very different cultural backgrounds and environments, which made understanding each other difficult.
이렇게 남편의 생일을 같이 할 수 있다는 것이 축복이 아니고 뭐겠습니까. 저는 다른 것은 바라지 않습니다. 남편이 건강하게 저와 함께 노년을 보내는 것이 작은 바람입니다. 앞으로 우리의 삶이 어떤 방향으로 흘러갈지는 모르겠지만, 더 열심히 사랑하고 살면서 서로에 대해서 더 많은 것을 공유하면서 살아가고 싶습니다.
What could be more of a blessing than sharing my husband's birthday with him like this? I wish for nothing more—only that he stay healthy and spend his later years with me. I don't know what direction our lives will take, but I want to love more passionately and share more of ourselves with each other.
