Deep Purple was a group that was inevitable in the music history of Hard Rock. Deep Purple is known as a group that has made a great contribution to the development of Hard Rock and has become known as a group of British pride. The group first used the name Roundabout and was named by former drummer Chris Curtis. However, the group did not like the name. Rich Blackmore came up with the name Deep Purple, after a song title his grandmother liked.
하드락의 음악 역사상 빼놓을 수가 없는 그룹이 딥퍼플이였다. 딥퍼플은 하드락을 발전시키는데 큰 공헌을 한 그룹으로 알려져 있으며 영국의 자존심과도 같은 그룹으로 알려졌다. 초창기 그룹은 Roundabout 라고 예전 드러머였던 Chris Curtis의해서 지어진 이름을 사용했다. 하지만, 이름이 마음에 들지 않았던 맴버들중 리치 블랙모어에 의해서 딥퍼플이라는 그룹 이름이 탄생되었고, 이것은 그의 할머니가 좋아하던 노래 제목에서 따온것이라고 한다.

The characteristics of the above album are known as the psychedelic rock and progressive rock genres. On the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the song "Hush" was in fourth place, and that was the beginning of getting Deep Purple into the American heart. "Hush" was written by Joe South and the original recording was sung by a singer named Billy Joe Royal.
