It rained here all day, and I had to go to the bathroom since dawn. The problem arose while urinating in the bathroom. It was so painful and unbearable to urinate. I woke my husband up after my intuition concluded it was a UTI. My husband, who woke wondering what had happened.

이곳은 비가 내렸고 새벽부터 화장실을 가야했다. 문제는 화장실에서 소변을 보면서 생겼다. 소변을 보는데 너무나 아프고 참지를 못할 고통이 밀려왔다. 필자의 직감으로 이것이 UTI라는 결론을 내린 후, 남편을 깨웠다. 자다가 일어난 남편은 무슨 날벼락이 떨어진줄 알고 물었다.

When I did a urine test, the physician assistant said UTI and ordered antibiotics for me for three days of antibiotics. I had to stop by the pharmacy and take some medicine and go home, but today I went straight to the church to see Narin's Christmas performance. And the children gave a wonderful Christmas performance. The pain that I had been experiencing had left.
금방 현관문이 열리는 소리가 들린다. 가온이는 친구집에서 하룻밤을 자고 왔다. 아들에게 병원 응급실에 가야한다고 했더니 조금은 짜증을 내는 눈치였지만, 그꺼이 운전을 해준다고 한다. 이렇게 해서 병원을 방문했다. 병원에서 기다리는 시간과 진료시간을 계산해보니 세시간 걸린것 같다. 응급실 치고는 이정도면 빠른 경우에 든다. 아마도 응급실 환자분이 많이 없어서 일것이다.
소변검사를 했더니, PA 간호사 (Physician Assistant)가 UTI라고 하면서 3일치 항생제를 오더 해주셨다. 약방에 들려서 약을 챙기고 집으로 가야하는데 오늘은 나린이의 교회 크리스마스 공연이 있는지라 교회로 곧장 출발했다. 그리고 아이들은 멋진 크리스마스 공연을 선보여 주었다. 남아 있었던 고통들이 다 사라지는 경험을 체험했다.
