POD는미국의 크리스찬 밴드로 알려져있다. 그들이 추구하는 음악은 헤비메탈이며, 리듬이 강하면서도 강한 기독교적인 메세지가 담겨져 있는 그런 음악적 구성이 이루어지고있다. 음악적인 강한 비트와 그에 반해서 보컬의 음성과 기타 그외의 음악이 잘 조화를 이루고 있으며, 현존하는 크리스천 헤비메탈의 지존급이라고 보면 될것이다.
다들 기독교적인 사상을 담고 있는 음악이라고 거부반응을 보이는 분도 없지 않아 있지만, 그들의 음악성은 높이 사주고싶다. 여느 밴드와 비교해서 음악적으로 뒤쳐지지 않으며, 독자적인 그들의 사운드를 추구하고 있는 매력있는 밴드가 아닌가한다.
살아있어 라는 곡은 리듬자체가 살아 있다는 그런 감동을 간접적인 은유법으로 인용해서 예수님을 영접한 후에 살아있다는 그런 느낌을 제대로 표현한 곡이 아닌가한다. 아주 감성이 제대로 잘 전달되는 곡이다.
살아있다는 것은 감사해야할 일이 아닌가한다. 숨을 쉬고 있다는 자체, 그것만으로 만족하고 감사하게 살아간다면, 우리 삶이 더 풍요롭지 않을까 생각된다. 그래 살아있어. 난 그런 감동으로 하루를 살아가고 있는거야.......당신도 그런 마음이길....
